History

Our faculty was established in 1992 through the merger of the Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering, which were previously part of the Faculty of Engineering at Yıldız University, were brought together in 1992 under the name Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Yıldız Technical University.

The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, which had operated within the Faculty of Engineering between 1983 and 1992, was separated as the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering following the reorganization in 1992. The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is one of the most established faculties at our century-old university and offers education, scientific research and development, and academic services for the benefit of society through six engineering departments: Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Control and Automation; Biomedical Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering.
